My passion for photography has taken me a long way in a short time. While my thirst for knowledge has led me to soak up information like a sponge, my training and skill as an educator has allowed me to help others. I feel honored to be teaching classes at the Indianapolis Art Center in Broad Ripple on Beginning and Intermediate Digital Photography and Photoshop.
I believe sincerely that it is not the camera that takes the photograph, it is the photographer that takes the photograph. I try to instill the possibilities in my students, encouraging them to go outside of their comfort level with this technology. And I am continually challenging myself, trying new techniques and shooting as often as I can in the effort to create beauty with light.
I currently live in Indianapolis with my husband, three dogs, two cats and a bird. We would eventually like to relocate the menagerie to warmer climates (like Tucson, Arizona) but for now the Indianapolis community has been incredibly nurturing for my creative endeavors. My life is too busy, but the most important part of it is my photography.
